Alright, it is finally FRIDAY!! The second to last Friday OF THE SCHOOL YEAR!

This year has been crazy for me (especially since February when I went back to work full-time). I’ve been really pushing myself to show up and be authentic in relationships and GOODNESS has it been wearing me ragged.

I feel that armor building back up around me - and for me that armor is….negativity. Anyone else?

Like, for real - I have been soooooo grouchy lately and YESTERDAY realized I need to SLOW MY ROLL and express some gratitude.

I feel SOOOOO much gratitude for my partners at Northwestern University who have been working TIRELESSLY (okay, maybe they are a little tired…we all are!) on a digital instruments project. Technology is HARD, y’all!! All the big tech companies make it look soooooooo easy and we get so whiny about it every time it doesn’t work…but it’s a FREAKING MIRACLE! Thank you, God for making smart people who figure this stuff out and thank you to Patrick and Ryan for slugging through it to bring my students an opportunity for AUTHENTIC music making experiences.

I am also SUPER grateful for Keith - he’s been busting his rear end lately to keep up with my high energy and high anxiety self…our boys are soooooooo lucky to have a dad who loves them to pieces, gets down on their level and plays (and is SUPER silly with them) and a dad who makes self-care and his marriage such a priority.

There’s more…there’s always more to be grateful for…and I’m spending my morning sipping my coffee and meditating on those things as well. Seriously - share below what you’re grateful for…even if it’s something SUPER small…it seriously changes the entire day.

Our Mother’s Day Mission was a MASSIVE success!!! Beyond our wildest dreams!! 14 women seeking safe haven in a wimen’s shelter on Mother’s Day will be receiving body wash and shea butter body cream as well as this note letting them know they are LOVED!

Today we went for a ”run” and found some awesome tree stumps to climb in and on. The funniest part was Jonas saying ”nigh-night!” and then take snoring. I love their senses of adventure and humor and their continually developing imaginations!!!

They are the biggest part of my ”why” for this business!!!!
