When I worked a spa several years ago, I developed plantar fasciitis from working barefoot on concrete floors. I would do massage on myself and it would get better but never completely go away. The worst pain was getting up after being off my feet for a little while - stabbing pain in my feet, having to stand for a minute to get my bearings and then hobbling around.
