What a wonderful weekend we had in Austin!

Saturday was spent eating, chatting, people watching & cheering on Austin FC with my Jacob.

Then on Sunday, we celebrated Deena’s son’s beautiful wedding with my Cup of Joe girls!

My cup overflows with joy & gratitude for the gift of this weekend.

When the power is out (and the city says it could
be days before it’s restored 😳), Max 🐶 turns the lemons 🍋into lemonade by snuggling in front of the roaring fire!

Not loving the hassle of the power outage, but wow is that ❄️SNOW ❄️ beautiful!

Paul & I enjoyed a date night at our fave local Greek restaurant before we got snowed in ❄️ ⛄️ at home here in Dallas. DELISH!

We always share a platter of many things since we ❤️ it all. The gyro meat is especially amazing! BYOB 🍷 is a bonus too!

I’m a big believer in work hard, play hard.

Yummy & fun on a Saturday to La Chine Chinese Cuisine.

Decor is really nice, service is attentive & friendly and the food is delish. We will be back!

We ordered a bunch of things that were all good, but the standouts were the steamed chicken dumplings, house salad (kinda like Benihana) and stir fry chicken with green beans - absolutely delish!!

⁉️ We need new places. PLEASE SHARE YOUR RECS or even just other places you heard were good!

Date night. On good days & bad, I’m happy to share life with my guy.

Today’s ⭐️JOY⭐️ was this unexpected Amazon delivery 🚚 📦 !

Lately, I’ve realized that we are getting low on snacks for our day laborer friends. It was time for me to share a request for help (you all are so faithful to help when I ask!), but I hadn’t posted yet.

🤔 I don’t know who this delivery came from. No name on the package. If it was you, THANK YOU! Would ❤️ to know so I can tell you by name.

No matter who it was though, you may think you simply did an “add to cart & deliver,” but you actually brought ME ⭐️ JOY⭐️ in receiving it and I can’t tell you the ⭐️JOY⭐️ these snacks bring to our friends with growling tummies from hunger.

I’m so blessed to know amazing generous people. Thank you! 😘 Kindness matters & it can be the smallest thing. Even a smile.

(💡 If you want to help, I could use beef Jerkey, protein bars, granola bars, trail mix, apple sauce, fruit cups, fruit bars, peanut butter crackers - yes, we really were running low! 😳😉😍 Do NOT feel obligated. God always provides for them. He loves our friends!)

Family. Today’s ⭐️JOY⭐️ came from getting to see my sis & brother in law for the first time since the Christmas 🎄 holidays! 😳

Tomorrow is my sweet second mum, Thea’s, birthday 🎂 🎉 so they drove up 🚗 & stayed in a hotel overnight just so we could all spend a few precious hours together in the sun ☀️ today. We sat outside in my back yard & chatted, ate delicious Indian food (local friends- highly recommend Maharaja!), packed snack bags for my day laborer friends, and just enjoyed time together. Oh and I put my techie brother in law TO WORK installing a mesh internet system and updating some other things. 😉

💡 Covid sure has taught us to stop & enjoy the simple things. 🙌🏼 A few hours with my sis, brother in law, mum and Thea. Pure joy. Even though my Horns 🤘🏼 lost 😢 (congrats to TCU!).
