It’s the little things!
It’s been a while since I’ve shared anything here, but I am open, and seeing clients!
Gift certificates are available online. Appointments are limited, but available!
A positive review, a page share or like would be so greatly appreciated.
So much gratitude for the support! 🎄

These little cuties seem to be making a nest in one of the pots of flowers on the deck. Some type of sparrow maybe? They’re tiny and cautious, zipping from the linden tree, to the shed and back to the clay pot gathering moss for the nest. All morning, working hard. The birds here this year are amazing! I’m especially liking the bluebirds and their funny bird personalities 🌱

Please be kind to small businesses as they reopen.

Hey guys! Are you ready to do some math yet? (Literally the 73rd time I’ve asked today)
No! We have SO much other stuff to do like: ride our bikes, pick the dandelions for your medicine, and climb our tree (while singing Yellow Submarine)
We all live in a yellow submarine, yellow submarine, yellow submarine...
Definitely the right song choice ☀️

🙌🏼👐🏼🙏🏻

What are you doing gor self care?
15 minutes of yoga, day 2.
Woke up, threw in some laundry, made coffee, vacuumed and mopped the kitchen/dining room, had coffee outside while I chatted with my Dad about his beer brewing adventures. (Grateful for and absolutely LOVE the daily Dad chats!!)
Dropped to the kitchen floor and stretched...arms, shoulders, back, hamstrings, calves, hips and sidebody. Lots of deep, slow breathing.
Added benefit of kitchen floor yoga...While I was down there, I noticed someone left the fridge door ajar 🙃
Have a wonderful Sunday!
🙏🏻
It looks like a beautiful day shaping up out there!
I have an order of plants heading to us from Windy Ridge today, and a packet of medicinal seeds I ordered on April 6th are scheduled to be delivered. Astragalus, St. Johnswort, elecampane, yarrow, catnip, chamomile...Finally!!
If you need me, I’ll be in the garden 🌱☀️
Tell me about the positive changes in your lives!
Have you signed up for a course? Started a new exercise routine? Began a meditation practice? Learned to knit? Spent more time in nature? Have you been able to be still and relax?
I’m not one to think we have to use this time to ‘grind’, ‘hustle’ or ‘get ahead’, but I do think finding a way to express creativity, move your body or quiet the mind is really helpful on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level. Sometimes that may mean simply doing nothing, and that’s 100% ok too. I’ve done plenty of nothing myself since March 13.
I have wanted to begin my yoga practice again for quite a while. I seemed to hit a wall during my last pregnancy for many reasons, and have always thought of what an amazing tool yoga had become in my life prior to that. When I think at what time in life I’ve felt my best, it was when I was practicing almost daily. In addition to that, my diet was much more rich in plants, and I adopted a solid sleep schedule. These and a handful of other things helped me grow positivity, love and gratitude immensely.
I’m going to set a small intention for the coming days. To do 15 minutes of yoga a day. Maybe it’ll turn into 30, 60, 90...it almost alway does once I’m reminded of how good it feels. ♥️🙏🏻

Today’s homeschool adventures...organic slow lawn care and sun tea. They were actually thrilled to cut the tall grass around the beds with scissors 😂 It’s quiet and peaceful, and they have a job to do that isn’t math.

Kids are not doing their schoolwork, and it’s windy & cold again, day 4392678, so I decided to be nice to myself and have a plant packed lunch. At least I’ll have some fuel to keep trying to stay sane 🤪 hot soup, fresh salad and curry scrambled tofu for the self care win today.

💗💗💗

Gave the sourdough pizza crust a shot and it’s delicious! 50/50 wheat and white flour for the crust, broccoli, mushrooms, onion & pepperoni. The kids are happy 😄

Ramp pesto and today’s alongside lentil veggie soup, are the perfect lunch. This loaf of bread is softer & squishier than the previous ones I’ve made. Perfect really. Still figuring out the tricks to this whole bread thing. So far, so good! Elijah helped pick the ramps this morning and he & Emmett love the pesto 🌱

I made a little ramp pesto, sourdough bread is in the oven looking amazing, and lentil veggie soup with extra extra garlic & parsley is about done. Slow food...

Shredded brussel sprout salad with dried cranberries, clementine sections & sunflowers. The dressing is fresh squeezed orange juice, white wine vinegar, olive oil and s&p. Letting it sit til dinner to marinate.

Week 2 of delivery!! This service is helping us to stay eating healthy while maintaining physical distancing. It’s also helping with our food budget and menu planning by being able to pick and choose what ingredients we need for the week. And, who doesn’t want a take and bake pizza?!?! I’m more thankful than ever for our Berkshire businesses!! We need each other NOW!

Hello beauty. Hindu rope Hoya in bloom 🌱💗

Happy plants! Cucumber, thyme, basil, cilantro, Dino kale, Tithonus, cosmos, calendula, cleome, eggplant, tulsi, Bok Choy, green leaf lettuce, collards, tomatoes & peppers!

Sautéed with caramelized onions, kraut, spicy mustard & horseradish on my homemade sesame sourdough. So. Absolutely. Delicious!!

That was so beautiful! Thanks to everyone for making this little 6 year olds drive by birthday something we will never forget 💚 We have such an amazing community!!

Best restaurant in town...
Making sourdough bread requires patience.
It takes about a week for the starter to develop, while feeding it each day.
A tablespoon of starter mixed with a little flour and water, should sit overnight.
Once the dough is mixed, it needs to sit a while.
Then you add the salt, dissolved in a little water and the pinching and pulling begins. A few times every 30 minutes or so for a few hours.
Then, it’s turned out onto a floured board and shaped a bit. Then back to a basket/bowl to rest a while.
Finally, after about a 24 hour process, it can be shaped and baked.
I’ve fallen deep into this process, and I don’t think it’s just about the bread...
Time in my kitchen is always, always time of creativity and freedom. It’s the way I express love by offering comfort and nutrition. Each time I walk in to help the dough become food, to cook our meals, or to make our herbal medicines and remedies, it’s a mind clearing experience.
The worry, the stress, the overthinking...it all melts, and I am pulled into the world of taste, texture, color, smell and feelings of pure shareable love ♥️♥️♥️
I’m thinking about what life will look like when all this is over, and I feel I need to find a way to make food a part of my business again. We will see where life leads us all, but I really hope for me, it’s into the kitchen again.

Thank you for the delivery of beautiful nutrition 💚

Back at it! 💕

This is How Massage Helps Build a Healthy Immune System (Share This with Your Clients Now)
We all need a massage more now than ever, and it breaks my heart that we cannot meet. We are living in a state of fight or flight, which will lower our natural immune function.
Please, remember to drink plenty of water and herbal tea, get the best sleep you can, and eat nutrient dense meals that are mostly plant based. Steer clear of sugar, too much alcohol, caffeine and keep consumption of animal products in check.
Take your supplements. Vitamin C & D are helpful now. Research adaptogenic herbs to help sooth the nervous system.
I’m still taking appointments for holistic health coaching by the hour, over the phone, if you would like to hear some helpful tips to stay as healthy as we can during this time.
I look forward to being back in the office as soon as I can ♥️♥️♥️

Carrots, beets, turnip, watermelon radishes, daikon and peas are in!

Yes, yes, yes! Today, the clouds cleared and the sun is so beautiful and warm. I’m hanging in my backyard, starting another tray of seeds. Tulsi, lettuces, scallions, thyme, basil and sunny sunflowers 🌻 Planting my carrots and beets, and turning the leaf mulch in. Get moving!
Try one, two or all of these!

I had some chickpeas left from my salad yesterday so I decided to make An awesome protein snack when your craving a bit of crunch.
Passing the time at home with this crew has been such a joy. All worries aside, these little people continue to inspire, ignite creativity and bring so much laughter. Watching them lead the way in their interests, we’ve been told so many stories and learned quite a few new things by following their lead. We are doing our best to keep up with all the amazing online resources, but the beauty in watching them build a birdhouse with Dad, pick up curiosities on our walks, building a path through the woods, cooking, drawing and hearing this little one asking if he could pull out moms fiddle is what this time is all about for us.

The Coronation | Charles Eisenstein
This is the best thing I’ve read in years. Shared by my friend Samantha Thomas. Please, take the time to read this. I just read it out loud to Mark.
“This is probably the only article I'll share about on here. One, because I’ve worked with Charles and respect his unique approach: scientific, spiritual, audacious, and embraces 'not knowing' simultaneously. And two, because he addresses the questions most of us ponder regularly and should talk more about. It’s a 9,000 word essay because he covers all angles of the collective crisis we’re in. I hope you’ll consider taking the time to read the whole thing.”
The Coronation | Charles Eisenstein Covid-19 is showing us that when humanity is united in common cause, phenomenally rapid change is possible. None of the world’s problems are technically difficult to solve; they originate in human disagreement. In coherency, humanity’s creative powers are boundless.
