Unfortunately this color is getting me excited for fall🤭

This client was one of my models from earlier this spring and of course I didn’t get a before picture to show the AMAZING grow out her color had!

She absolutely didn’t need to come in for a maintenance appointment until early fall but she has some big events this summer that she wanted to freshen up for!

Since she already had her big “transformation” appointment, all we had to do today was a “mini balayage” to bring up the lightness around her face and the other areas she like to see the blonde!

Our goals for the appointment:

✨ Add some lightness to where she likes to see it most

How I achieved the look:

She said “make me blonde” and that’s what we did!

I’ve done this clients hair a few times now, but we were just doing regular highlights! Her hair is dark and just wanted some natural sun-kissed highlights to add pretty contrast, so she only had to be in my chair a few times a year!

This time she completely switched it up and wanted to be BRIGHT for summer! The inspo pic we discussed had more solid blonde towards the ends with slight dimension through the roots and mid-lengths! She thought this might mean more maintenance for her, which is far from the truth!
We came up with a plan that met her maintenance requirement AND matched her inspiration pic!

Our goals for the appointment:

How did I achieve this?
✨ Thorough consultation to really dive deep into what she wanted/ didn’t want to see in her hair

✨ 12-16 weeks between balayage appointments
✨ 6-8 weeks for a toner refresh and haircut

This was the theme of this balayage appointment!

My best friend had years and years of black color on her hair but it was time for a change! She would see all the pretty dimensional brunettes everywhere, but she knew she wasn’t ready for that dramatic of a change! When you have years of dark color on your hair, the most realistic expectation is soft brown/ caramel dimension! This is something that can be worked on overtime to get you to your desired lightness, but we didn’t want to much of a shock for this appointment!

Our goals for the appointment:
✨ Seamlessly transition from black to her natural brown over time
✨ Very soft, almost unnoticeable ribbons of lightness
✨ Warm-ish tone that makes her green eyes pop
✨ A new look that didn’t require more than 2-3 maintenance appointments a year

How did I achieve this look:
✨ We let her color grow out for a few weeks so she had 1-2 inches of natural color at the root
✨ Used a balayage placement that left lightness in the ends but depth at her root for a gradual transition from dark to light!
✨ Formulated a toner that slightly left some warmth where we wanted it but NO BRASS

All of this together instantly elevates her look while also requiring very little effort in the morning!

Recommended maintenance:
✨ Root melt/ toner every 8- 12 weeks to keep the balayage growing out seamlessly and keeping it shiny!
✨ Full balayage every 6 months!

This is a very special appointment for my SISTER! She leaves for a study- abroad trip to Australia in 2 weeks so we need highlights that are going to last her whole trip!!

I’m going to be honest, this low- maintenance look is different than my brunette girlies! When my clients have naturally light hair to start, most highlights we do are going to grow out seamlessly! My sister was always afraid that highlights would damage her curls, so she stayed away from it for YEARS. This appointment was all about ensuring an effortless day-to-day routine to keep her curly hair healthy with minimal effort!

Her goals for this appointment:
✨ Bring the brightness back up to her roots
✨ Warmer tone for a sun- kissed look
✨ Lightening her hair with as little damage as possible!

How did I achieve this?:
✨ I used a specific foiling method to make sure the blonde pops whether she wears her hair straight or curly!
✨ Included multiple different bonding products/ techniques in the color to make sure her curls don’t lose any bounce or moisture!

My client LOVES her dark hair, but wanted just a little sprinkle of highlights to add some interest!

She let me have creative freedom for the most part, so here were my goals:

✨ Noticeable dimension, but not too chunky! (no chunky 2000's highlights here!)
✨ Lightness in every layer - she has a very layered haircut so we wanted to make sure her color was even through it all!
✨ A tone that compliments her natural color

How did I achieve it?

✨ My go-to balayage placement to ensure the softest grow out! No harsh lines here!

Maintenance:

✨I recommend a 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 balayage 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 just to keep your tone looking fresh!
✨ Adding a few foils around your hairline/ part line can also be a quick/ optional way to freshen up your look between appointments!
