How many of you are cowashing only? 😬🙋🏾♀️ dont be afraid to raise your hand!
When you shampoo you should always follow up with a deep conditioner seeing as though natural hair is the driest of all textures which means you want to give it maximum moisture at all times. Using a regular rinse out conditioner in place of a deep conditioner does not do the same things! One is formulated to be lighter with moisture while the other is formulated to be more intense as well as being able to pe*****te the shaft.
But did you know that depending on your porosity, cowashing can eventually be the cause of your breakage and dryness?
Shampooing naturally curly hair will set you up for a better hydrated crown. When you remove buildup from products and the environment your hair will be able to absorb conditioners and moisturizing products easier!
Especially my low porosity curl friends! Cowashing is okay but too much will work against you.

After coloring and intensive treatments we have a healthy head of natural color treated hair!
Corrective color is not 1 size fits all.
This clients color was a 3 step process before we could give her what she wanted we had to get rid of what we didn’t want. (Spotted colors/banding/uneven color)

The Educator
For Ma’Shalla, better known as “Shay” amongst friends and colleagues, starting her cosmetology career in high school was the game changer. Jumping into the beauty industry at 18 years old left plenty of opportunity for personal and professional growth. Her first 3 years were spent working at Regis Corporate Salon Chain, Fiesta. Her time with the corporation was a sure indicator of where this up and coming stylist wanted her career to take her and what she wanted her reputation to uphold in the industry. Having not yet enrolled in college, Ma’Shalla itched to map out what she truly desired from herself and her career, because it was not to continue working for someone else. Enrolling in college as a cosmetic science major, she embarked on the journey to formulate her own product line. After leaving Regis in 2016, she pressed on as an independent stylist at the early age of 21.
