If you want to increase your lifespan, eat beans. The intake of legumes—beans, chickpeas, split peas, and lentils—may be the single most important dietary predictor of a long lifespan.
Based on a study of more than 400,000 people, replacing just 3 percent of calories of animal protein with plant protein was associated with a 10 percent reduction in overall mortality risk. That comes out to be about an extra year of life, just from swapping out 3 percent of any animal protein with plant protein. However, it’s not just about adding years to your life, but life to your years.
A whole food, plant-based diet can aid in the prevention—and, in some cases, the reversal—of some of the leading chronic diseases in the United States.

Good afternoon everyone. Last night I put some beans to cook and they came out delicious! 🤤 The rice came out perfect as well. I used Gardein be’F crumbles mixed with potatoes and onions. It was a very hardy meal. For dessert a ate a fresh Beet. 😋
Currently making some Pinto Beans which will pair nicely with some white rice 🤤

Ordered this delicious meal To-Go from Viva Vegeria in San Antonio, Texas. It’s soy Chikn green enchiladas, rice, beans, pozole, and a delicious side salad.

My take on Sloppy Joes. I used Gardein Be’f crumbles, Manwich Sloppy Joe sauce, onions, avocados, bell peppers, and a bit of minced garlic. It was a very hardy meal. 😋

Plain Bran cereals with strawberries, blueberries, bananas, crushed almonds, and a little bit of granola for breakfast this morning.

I used Tofurkey Chikn, sautéed with onions and sweet chili sauce, steamed white rice with cilantro and topped it off with Fresh green onions.

I made a salad using butter Lettuce, kale, mushrooms, bell pepper, cauliflower, avocado, refried beans, asparagus, cherry tomatoes, Gardein chickn strips, and I topped it off with balsamic vinaigrette. It was very delicious

Naan bread chick’n sandwhich. I used Chao Tomato Cayenne vegan cheese, Gardein chick’n, vegan olive oil mayonnaise, cherry tomatoes, avocado, red bell pepper, green pepper, and kale.

Made the sauce using Cherry Tomatos and canned spaghetti sauce. Used Gardein vegan ground beef. Topped the salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette.
