Inogen and Cpap concentrators portable oxygen machine

Hello, I have an Inogen One g5. It's 2021, but the battery charges to 95%, and it has a double battery, so it's about 11 hours. It's never been used. Purchased new during the pandemic. A few folks asked about my CPAP setup in my last post, so I figured I’d break it out into its own post.

This is what I’m running and why.

I use a ResMed AirMini. It’s the smallest setup I’ve found that still works reliably for me. I’ve used this setup extensively for travel, and it’s worked like a charm.

For power, I’m carrying the Freedom CPAP Battery 160. In real use, I’m getting about 4–5 nights depending on whether I sneak a little power for other devices. Total runtime is roughly 36–38 hours, and I recharge it in town with the rest of my electronics. For anyone curious, this is the battery:

All in, the CPAP setup (machine, battery, cables, hose, mask) comes in at 3 lb 4.1 oz. This is about as ultralight as I could get it while still being reliable for me. Better sleep means better recovery and better hiking, so it’s worth the tradeoff.

A few notes from testing:
• Airplane mode on the AirMini
• Battery carried inside the pack to protect it from cold
• Dedicated dry bag

Not perfect, but very workable for section hikes and longer legs.
