Welcome to my soap business page! This page is currently under construction as I am perfecting recipes for sale in the near future.
Operating as usual
This one is scented in Oatmeal Milk & Honey. This is the true color the soap ended up being.
Lorraine's Lathers
Made a few things to go into the bath and body baskets I am donating for the Spring Heathen BBQ. Beard balm and Brown sugar scrub. Tomorrow's agenda: making soap!
[04/17/16] Hello everyone! It has been awhile since I have updated the page, but I have good news! We were finally able to move into a house! I am still working to set up my soaping area in the kitchen. Hopefully I will be done putting the house together soon, and then I can have a busy day of soap making! I will post pics as soon as I am able. Thank you for your support and love! ~Jenny
This amazing plaque just arrived for my birthday. Thank you Momma!!! A huge shout out to my cousin Melody at Peace, Love and Wood, who made it.

A quick informational note for you! Cold Process/Hot Process relates to the way an individual soap is made.
Hot process involves cooking the lye/oils to complete the saponification process immediately. A cure time of two weeks is generally enforced to ensure the bar hardens appropriately for optimum performance. The cooking process results in a more "Rustic" looking bar.
Cold Process soap takes 4-8 weeks to complete the saponification process. Since there is no cooking involved, this type of soap is easier to add colors and additives to, and much easier to use with shaped molds because it is more fluid.
[10/20/15] Hello everyone! Thank you for visiting my new page! I decided to name my soap business, "Lorraine's Lathers", Lorraine being my middle name. I decided to use it in Honor of my Mother and my Grandmother, Lorraine, whom I was named after. As of right now, I do not have an Etsy page or website for my soaps. I am currently perfecting/experimenting with recipes before I decide to offer them to the public. As soon as most of them have cured, I will be sending samples to my guinea pigs...oh, um, testers, yeah, that's it, testers! If you'd like to volunteer to be a tester, just let me know! I am expecting thorough testing and all the feedback you can offer! :) Once I pin down a favorite recipe or two, then I will start making soap in mass quantities. I will also take requests for special soaps (ex. Vegan made with coconut/almond milk and without beeswax, or dairy free, since most of my recipes contain powdered goat milk and/or cream). Thanks for the support!!
