Breastfeeding mommies….are you having difficulty with feeding your baby?
🌎 You’re Part of Something Powerful
• About 84% of U.S. moms start breastfeeding, but only about 25% are exclusively breastfeeding at 6 months (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data).

💛 in other words: If you’re still going at 3–6 months, you are in a strong, committed group of women. Way to go Mama!!!

🛡 Immune Protection
• Breastfed babies have 64% lower risk of GI infections in the first year.
• They have about 72% lower risk of hospitalization for respiratory infections in infancy.
• Breastfeeding reduces risk of ear infections by up to 50%.

Your milk changes daily to fight viruses your baby is exposed to. Creating little warriors!

🌟 Even Partial Breastfeeding Matters

You don’t have to be “perfect.”
• Even 1–2 ounces of breast milk per day provides immune benefits.
• Combination feeding still gives protective effects.

Every drop counts. Every feed matters.

Today I was asked by my Husband…he said, “what percentage of self-care have you done today?” That question really stopped me in my tracks. It was already 5pm and I’m preparing dinner for my family. I did not eat at all until dinner, and took my medication late.

Ladies, we MUST take care of ourselves to be able to take care of others! What did you do today for self-care? All comments welcomed!

🌼 Importance of a Mom Tribe
Why having a supportive group of moms matters — emotionally, mentally, and practically. What does it mean to you to have a Mom tribe?

For those Mommies who have toddlers, do you have full-on meltdowns when it’s time to leave the park or any place fun for your toddler? Toddlers cry leaving the park because it feels like a sudden loss of fun + control. The key is predictability, choice, and transition cues. Here’s a simple, proven approach you can use consistently:

⏰ 1. Give advance warnings

Toddlers handle transitions better when they’re not surprised.

Say: “Last turn down the slide.”

Use the same phrases every time so they learn the pattern.

🔔 2. Use a consistent signal

Create a repeatable cue:
• A phone timer sound
• A special “all done” phrase
• A goodbye routine (wave to the park, high-five the slide)

Consistency builds emotional safety.

🎯 3. Offer controlled choices

Choices reduce power struggles.

Example: “Do you want to walk to the car or hop like bunny.”

One of the best things I do when leaving is asking my son does he want to race me to the car. We play a game called Red light and Green light. Red meaning to stop and green meaning to start running. He controls the game by saying red light or green light.

🌿 Topic: “The Weight We Carry — What Motherhood Didn’t Prepare Me For”

Motherhood is a gift — but it can also be heavy in ways we didn’t expect. Tonight let’s talk about the things no one prepared us for: emotionally, spiritually, physically, or practically. What surprised you most about becoming a mom?

I’ll go first! Motherhood is something I definitely wanted! However, I was surprised mainly in my children’s teenage years. I was NOT prepared for teens, and all the drama it comes with it. I think I have prayed more now than I did when they were babies. I love their independence, but the defiance and attitudes have been super challenging! How about you???
