There’s a moment before every project when everything is still, untouched, and waiting for the carving to be uncovered.

I recently got to build a limited number of these custom strikers for the crew at G5 Outdoors to match the launch of the new Dirty Bird Broadheads.

Raw antler, sharp lines, and a sound built to cut through the spring woods the same way these broadheads cut through necks.

One thing is for sure, carving has introduced me to some interesting companies doing things their own way.

ScrapeFix whitetail attractant company is one of those.

We talked shop at a show and then down the road I got to create a killer rattling set for them.

That’s how the best projects start.

I got to carve up this rattling set for .hunt — a crew that’s serious about doing things right.

They keep you locked in when you’re 20 feet up with the best safety harnesses in the game, created from years of industrial safety knowledge transferred to our favorite past time!

G5 broadheads have help make some great memories for me, including my daughters first whitetail.

Getting to carve a whitetail head featuring their logo is one of those full-circle moments.
