Why Sola Conditura?

When preparing to choose a name, many things can go into the decision. Namely, influences can often provide inspiration.

As a traditional protestant, the Five Solas of the Reformation bring me great comfort. We are saved by grace alone through faith alone. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

So, when naming our sauce, we chose the Latin words for Spicy Alone - Sola Conditura- as both an homage to our fathers in the faith, and as our commitment to make a hot sauce void of additives and use only plain simple ingredients.

You see, R&D requires that I eat a new taco for each sauce flavor, not my appetite... it's for science!!

Our Peter "Poblano" Vermigli sauce is for people who aren't fans of the heat, but don't want to sacrifice on flavor. While Vermigli is famous for the Loci Communes, this sauce is famous for pairing well with any chicken dish- particularly enchiladas!

William "Fresno" Farel brings a sweet heat, reminiscent of the French Theologian's passion for the gospel to be spread.
