Meet Mary! The Wellness Connection's newest wellness coordinator...

Why Mary loves the Wellness Connection: Mary loves finding ways to have and share overall health, whether it’s working out, learning how to budget, doing breathing techniques to destress, and so much more!

Mary's Passions: Mary’s passion for health and wellness started in high school when she did a senior project on nutrition. She went to BYU-Idaho and loved going to fitness classes, so she majored in Exercise Physiology, taking nutrition classes along the way. She loves hiking, playing board games, and paddle boarding. Utah has been a great place to hike, but she can’t forget the beautiful hikes of the Pacific Northwest, where she grew up in Kirkland, Washington – She highly recommends visiting there if you have not been.

Fun Facts: Mary’s favorite musician is Owl City, her favorite animals are foxes and elephants, and her favorite quote is: “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.” -Henry David Thoreau

Credentials: Graduated from BYU–Idaho with a bachelor of science degree in exercise physiology. Since then, she has received various certifications including the ACE Health Coaching certification, ACE Group Exercise, and Precision Nutrition Levels 1 and 2.
