Myself and the rest of the Studio A Beauty Bar girls will be closed and out of the shop til Tuesday as we are attending Premiere Columbus beauty show this weekend! I want to take a moment to explain what goes into the price of my Deluxe Head Spa services, because you’re not simply paying for someone to massage your scalp or “play with your hair.”

You’re investing in my education, experience, time, products, and expertise.

🎓 15½+ YEARS AS A LICENSED COSMETOLOGIST
I have been a licensed cosmetologist for over 15½ years, and I continue to invest in my education every year. I take additional trainings, attend trichology classes, learn new techniques, research scalp and hair concerns, and spend countless hours outside of the salon researching products, ingredients, and treatment methods.

That knowledge is a part of your service.

🧠 KNOWLEDGE & PERSONALIZED CARE
Your scalp is not simply something I massage. I take the time to observe your scalp, assess what I’m seeing, and tailor the service and products to your individual needs.

My goal is to support a healthy scalp environment and healthy-looking hair rather than simply providing a relaxing experience.

🌿 PROFESSIONAL PRODUCTS
I carefully choose the products I use during my services. My products are made in Tokyo and are formulated with naturally derived ingredients, without unnecessary additives that can contribute to buildup.

The products used during your service are part of the investment as well.

⏰ YOUR APPOINTMENT IS MORE THAN THE TIME LISTED ON THE MENU
When you book a Deluxe Head Spa, the time listed is the actual treatment time.

That does not include the time spent on your before-service scalp analysis, consultation, preparation, or your finishing blow-dry.

So while the service may be listed as a specific treatment length, the time I am actually dedicating to you can easily be 2 hours or more.

💆‍♀️ THIS IS MORE THAN A MASSAGE
Yes, relaxation is a huge part of what I provide. But there is much more happening during your appointment.

I am working with your scalp, cleansing it, exfoliating when appropriate, applying targeted products, stimulating the scalp through massage techniques, and creating an environment that supports scalp health and healthy hair.

Every step has a purpose.
