Jojoba oil is one of my favorite ingredients for facial care and dry skin. It actually balances skin because its chemical structure is almost identical to our naturally produced sebum.
Jojoba oil is rich in vitamins and minerals. It absorbs quickly, isn’t greasy, and is deeply moisturizing.
Technically, it isn’t actually an oil, but rather a liquid wax derived from the seeds of the jojoba plant. 🌿
We use jojoba oil in our Neroli & Chamomile Serum, Echinacea & Chamomile Cleansing Balm, all of our Lip Balms, and our Hair & Body Oils.

One of my favorite ingredients is honeysuckle hydrosol. Hydrosols are water based and made from plant materials such as flowers and leaves.🌼
Honeysuckle flowers are high in antioxidants and have antiseptic properties. Honeysuckle hydrosol soothes and balances all skin types. It is also an astringent, tightens pores, and controls sebum production, making it especially beneficial for oily and acne-prone skin.
Honeysuckle hydrosol has a clean and crisp scent, much less floral than the fresh flower blossoms. 🌿
We use wildcrafted Honeysuckle Hydrosol that is distilled in small batches in South Carolina. We use this ingredient in our best selling Honeysuckle & Aloe Vera Facial Toner.

One of my favorite ingredients is echinacea in our Echinacea & Chamomile Cleansing Balm.🌼
Echinacea root and flowers have healing properties that can prevent acne, treat inflammation, and reduce wrinkles. It’s highly astringent and can minimize the appearance of pores for firmer skin. We infuse olive oil with echinacea and other purifying herbs in our Cleansing Balm.
Our Echinacea & Chamomile Cleaning Balm is one of the most special products that we make. It took me years to perfect the formula, and it features many purifying and soothing ingredients to create a gentle and effective facial cleanser.

It took me years to formulate and perfect this product, and I am obsessed with it. This cleanser benefits all skin types, whether you have combination skin, are struggling with dry or acne prone skin, or want a makeup remover. It works as a gentle stand-alone wash or can be a great first step before a more intense water-based cleanser, scrub, or mask.

I have recently fallen in love again with our hand salves. To be honest - Lo & Behold makes so many different products - and I am very dedicated to my facial care and body oil routine. I only occasionally use our other body care products.
The cold dry weather and heat inside is really harsh for dry skin like hands. Plus, I wash my hands constantly between manufacturing/ packing orders and taking care of my little kids. Recently I started massaging the salve again every night and suddenly felt amazing!
The simple act of applying hand cream, even once or a few times a day feels like deep self-care. I love the rich texture that melts, and how my skin instantly feels, and looks better.
The Rose & Ginger Hand salve is still my favorite of our four scents. The smell is the perfect balance of fresh and comforting.
