There comes a moment in life when the mind can no longer explain what the soul already understands.
A moment where wisdom is no longer borrowed from the world,
but born from the silent depths within your soul.

You no longer search for teachers,
because life itself has carved the lessons into your bones.
You become your own teacher,
your own master,
your own priest standing before the altar of your spirit.

You become the lawyer that defends your worth,
the doctor that tends to your wounds,
the mother that softens your fears,
the father that teaches you strength,
the sister and the brother that will hold you when you need it most.
You become your own friend,
your own refuge,
your own home.

And within all of this,
you begin to meet the soul that has always lived quietly inside your body,
patiently waiting to finally be heard.

You behold both the darkness and the light without fear.
You stop running from the parts of yourself that the world once called “flaws,”
you now know that nothing was ever wrong—
what is, simply needed to be.

Every scar became a scripture.
Every pain became a doorway.
Every tear watered the roots of a deeper understanding.

The wounds that once broke your spirit
have now become sacred reminders
of all the storms you survived
when you believed you could not endure another night.

And somehow, through all the confusion,
through the exhaustion, the sadness, the searching,
you found yourself returning home
to a clarity that cannot be taught by society, religion, or the noise of the world.

An awakening of the spirit does not arrive at once.
It unfolds in time—
like dawn touching the mountains after a long winter.

Each day, I uncover another piece of who truly lives within this body that carries my soul.
An essence I once ignored.
A voice I once silenced.
A light I once searched for in others,
only to realize it had always been alive inside of me.

Now, I listen to my intuition more than my fear.
I trust the peace in my chest more than the noises of the world.
I no longer beg for answers outside of me,
because I have discovered that many of the answers I pursued
were already whispering inside my heart all along.

And though I am still healing,
still learning,
still becoming—
and sometimes still hurting,
I now walk knowing that I am not alone.

I walk with the understanding
that healing is not becoming someone new,
but remembering who you were before pain convinced you otherwise.

So I embrace this path,
this strange and beautiful unfolding of my soul.
I embrace the softness within my heart,
the sensitivity,
the depth,
the knowing that cannot always be explained,
the tears that wash off my sorrow,
I embrace the ashes that were left from the flames of all the pain,
Because for the first time, I can say that I now understand—

I continue to live one day at a time,
I continue to breathe with gratitude and grace,
knowing that one day,
My light will rise again.
