As America celebrates its 250th birthday, we witnessed a moment that felt straight out of a movie.

During Three Men and a Tenor’s performance of “God Bless the USA” in Grand Ledge, Michigan, a bald eagle soared overhead at the exact right moment, creating a scene that left the crowd in awe.

A symbol of freedom, strength, and the spirit of our nation flying above as patriotic music filled the air. Some moments simply can’t be scripted.

In a year honoring 250 years of the United States, this was a powerful reminder of the pride, beauty, and unity that bring us together.

A truly rare and unforgettable moment.

Thursday night, Three Men and a Tenor had the honor of kicking off the Grand Ledge Summer Concert Series.

As America prepares to celebrate its 250th birthday, we’ve added several patriotic songs to our show, including America the Beautiful, God Bless the USA, and Greg Cudney’s beautiful tribute to veterans, A Hero’s Prayer.

The concert was going great, and the evening was winding down as we began our final song, God Bless the USA. Near the end of the performance, we noticed audience members gasping and pointing above the pavilion where we were performing.

That’s when we saw it.

A bald eagle was soaring directly overhead.

As the song continued, the eagle glided over the Grand River, then circled back before disappearing into the evening sky. It was one of those moments that no one could have planned, and one that everyone there will remember.

In more than 34 years of performing, we’ve never seen anything quite like it.

Sometimes a show gives you a little something extra. This was one of those nights.

If you were there and happened to capture a photo or video of the eagle’s flyover, we’d love to see it! Please share it in the comments or send it our way.

Our lost soldiers will always be on our minds and in our thoughts. We know that so many gave so much for us to be able to entertain people every year in America.

We appreciate the sacrifices made and will continue to show our respect with our performances.

The Music of America Tour

Tickets will be available at the door

For many who have not seen the show in a while, there is a new energy created by the tributes to the veterans (Hero's Prayer, American Soldier, In Color, and God Bless the USA). But in our country's 250th Birthday year, the group brings a connection through the music of America that has been part of our culture and community. This show does not have anything to do with the politics of our time - just the great American music people love!
