When choosing a lash artist, the most important factors are safety, skill, and hygiene. A beautiful set of lashes isn't worth risking damage to your natural lashes or your eyes.
Here's what to look for:
Proper training and certification β Ask about their education, certifications, and any continuing training they have completed.
Cleanliness and sanitation β Tools should be disinfected, tweezers sterilized, hands washed, and the treatment area kept clean. Single-use items should be disposed of after each client when appropriate.
Healthy lash application β Extensions should be applied to one natural lash at a time, with proper isolation and appropriate weight and length for your natural lashes.
High-quality products β Professional-grade adhesives and lashes help improve retention and reduce the risk of irritation.
Consultation β A good lash artist asks about allergies, eye health, lifestyle, and your desired look before starting.
Portfolio and reviews β Look for clear before-and-after photos of their own work and read client reviews for consistency.
Aftercare education β A professional will explain how to care for your lashes to maximize retention and protect your natural lashes.
Comfort and communication β You should feel comfortable asking questions, and your artist should explain the process and address any concerns.

The terms lash artist and lash tech (lash technician) are often used interchangeably, but they can suggest different levels of focus and expertise.
Lash Technician (Lash Tech)
Focuses on the technical application of lash extensions.
Has training in lash safety, isolation, adhesive use, and proper application.
Performs services according to established techniques.
The title emphasizes skill in the procedure.
Lash Artist
Has the same technical foundation but also emphasizes customization and design.
Creates lash maps tailored to each client's eye shape, natural lashes, and desired look.
Considers balance, symmetry, styling, and overall aesthetics.
The title emphasizes creativity and a personalized experience.
In reality, there is no universal licensing distinction between the two terms. Many professionals use whichever title best fits their brand.
If you're building a premium brand, "lash artist" often sounds more personalized and luxury-focused. If you want to emphasize professionalism and technical expertise, "certified lash technician" is also a strong choice.

It is all coming along! I am not set up fully the way I want to be just yet, but I am taking models. Hopefully in the next few weeks everything will be set up the we want it to be. Pups will be in their kennels one furry cat hides amd the hairless might try to cuddle. Once everything is set up the hairless will not be able to cuddle or be in our space.
