Lex The Barber

October is Dysautonomia Awareness Month

POTS is a disorder of the autonomic nervous system which is in charge of things we don’t consciously control - heart rate, blood pressure etc.

POTS is so much more than just feeling light headed or dizzy.. it’s the daily
•heart palpitations
•shaking/tremors
•temperature deregulation
•tunnel vision
•tingling hands and legs
•fainting
•brain fog
•blood pooling
•nausea
•spiked heart rate
•extreme fatigue

On the outside you look perfectly health, but on the inside your body is fighting simple daily activities. Sometimes walking, talking, or taking a shower can throw off your whole day.

Even though someone can look healthy on the outside, you never know what they are fighting on the inside. Be kind🩵
