Gearing up for fall markets!

🧂🩷 Himalayan Salt Soap… a little tricky to make, but SO worth it! 🩷🧂

Not every handmade soap behaves the same way—and Himalayan salt bars definitely like to keep a soap maker on her toes! 😂

Adding a generous amount of Himalayan salt changes the entire soap-making process. Salt can cause the soap batter to thicken and set up much faster than a traditional cold-process soap, which means I have to work quickly once that beautiful pink salt goes in.

And then comes the tricky part… knowing exactly when to cut it! ✂️

Wait too long and a salt bar can become so hard that it crumbles or breaks when cut. Cut too soon and it's still too soft. There's a relatively small window where it's just right.

So why go through all the extra work?

Because the finished bar is absolutely worth it. 🩷

🧂 Himalayan salt creates an incredibly hard, long-lasting bar
✨ Fine salt provides gentle physical exfoliation
🫧 The lather becomes dense, rich and creamy
🩷 Skin is left feeling smooth, polished and refreshed
🌿 And the whole bar has that luxurious, mineral-rich, spa-like feel that makes salt soap so special.

For this batch, I paired the Himalayan salt with French Pink Clay for additional gentle cleansing and a silky skin feel, then scented it with essential oils of Chamomile, Geranium & Bergamot. 🌼🌸🍊

It's one of those soaps that takes a little more patience, careful timing and experience to make—but when those beautiful salt bars are finally cut and curing on the rack, I'm reminded exactly why I make them. 🩷

A little more challenging to create. A whole lot more special to use.
