Today is National Peanut Butter Cookie Day! Here is a delicious HEALTHY recipe you can make using our Total-5 protein powder (20% off this June!).

Nut Butter Chocolate Chip Protein Cookies:

🍪 2 scoops (½ cup) BeBalanced Total-5 vanilla protein powder
🍪 One large egg
🍪 ½ cup cane sugar (or coconut palm sugar) + 1 Tbsp. for sprinkling on top
🍪 1 cup natural nut butter
🍪 Pinch of salt
🍪 ¼ cup mini dark cacao chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350°F and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Place all ingredients in a medium-sized bowl and mix
together using a wooden spoon. The consistency should be like typical cookie dough. Using a tablespoon cookie scooper,
scoop 3 tablespoons of dough and roll into a ball. Then flatten in your palm into a cookie shape. Place on cookie sheet and
repeat. Use a fork to create the classic peanut butter crisscross shape by lightly pressing onto cookie dough. Then sprinkle with
organic cane sugar and a pinch of salt. Bake at 350° for 12-15 minutes or until the cookies begin to turn golden brown. Let
cool for at least 10 minutes to let the cookies harden. Store in a tight plastic bag or container in a cool/dark place.

Exercise should be therapy, not punishment. Yet, we often use exercise to “make up for” poor eating.

🍹🍹 Celebrate Cinco De Mayo BeBalanced style with this skinny margarita recipe. It’s incredibly light and refreshing, made with just fresh lime juice, orange extract, stevia, and of course, tequila.

INGREDIENTS
6 oz. Tequila (use high-quality tequila)
1/3 cup fresh squeezed lime juice
1 1/2 tsp. orange extract
1 tsp. liquid stevia
5 cups ice cubes (you may need more, see instructions)
Sea salt (for salted rim)
Lime wedges (for garnish)

Run a slice of lime around the rim of each glass. Dip the rim into a plate or shallow bowl covered in sea salt. Combine all remaining ingredients in a powerful blender. Blend until a slushy texture forms. Add more ice if needed to make about 32 ounces total. Pour frozen margaritas into the glasses and garnish with a lime wedge. YIELD: 4 margaritas (8 oz. each). If you are on the Becoming Balanced program, we do not advise any alcohol until you are in the lifestyle phase.
