There are so many great alternatives to processed sweets!

These banana oatmeal cookies from are one of my current faves. They’re a tasty, chewy snack for me, and a great breakfast treat for my kids.

And so easy to make! Simply combine 2 ripe, mashed bananas with 1 cup of quick oats and 1/4 chocolate chips (I used Missy J’s carob chips for a little extra fiber). Toss in 1/4 tsp vanilla and 1/2 tsp cinnamon if you’d like a little extra flavor. Then scoop 1 Tbs sized portions onto a parchment paper-covered baking sheet and gently flatten into cookie shape. Bake at 350 F for 12 - 15 minutes. Enjoy!

What healthy alternatives satisfy YOUR sweet tooth? I’m always looking for new ideas, so please share!

This Women’s History Month I celebrate the women that have had the biggest direct impact on my life: my maternal grandmother, my mom, and my fraternal grandmother. I’m acutely aware that every day I stand on their shoulders living a life of privilege and opportunity. I only wish I’d had more time to express my gratitude.

Let’s give a πŸ™Œ to all of the powerful moms and grandmothers, past and present! Let’s also consider ways that we can widen the road for today’s young women. πŸ’›πŸ’ͺ

I'm not big on New Year's resolutions, but I do love a new beginning. It's all about the opportunity to evolve. We're reminded to ask ourselves, "Who do I want to be?" Remember, the smallest steps are often the most powerful. β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €β €
