The NAS Barbers P-2 Neptune Project

Help...a few years ago I came upon this site. I have posted a couple of photos & made comments on it on rare occasions. Lately when I log on to this page the logo for the Museum shows up instead of my FB ID. It seems that I have become the Owner or the Admin of this page. Thought this sight was a group that was trying to restore a Neptune. I have had no involvement in any of the restoration plans but would support them. Have no idea how I became owner of this page unless it was by default of someone passing and my name was added, possibly Frank Lueder who lives in the area if he was involved. Anyhow I have no knowledge or any involvement in the restoration of a Neptune. Any information or guidance would be appreciated.

Brazilian Air Force P-15, first color scheme, as it was received from USA :) :) the nose art is ORUGAN. divinity representing air, space between heaven and earth; on teh fuselage is the patch for UNITAS VII operation, a joint naval training operation between US NAVY and South American navies; the big red seven is for 7th Aviation Air Group ( 7] Grupo de Aviação ) based in Salvador City, Bahia State, Brazil, nice day to all :) :) image from the internet .

The NAS Barbers P-2 Neptune Project Same thing happened to me on many occasions both out of Japan and Alaska. We were attacked and fired on by 2 MIG's over Olga Bay when we were photographing the Russian fleet coming into port. Thank God for a good pilot, no homing weapons and good altimeter settings as we ran 50-100 ft off the deck out to the 12 mile mark. Our plane had 3 turrets and all guns were manned but we couldn't return fire until we were in international waters. Can you imagine the headlines "U.S. Navy plane shoots down Russian MIG at Olga Bay". If anyone is interested I will post a copy of an email I got from our pilot where he describes the incident. He was Lt Kelly who retired as a Captain and sadly passed away a few years ago. Bud White
