Ambassador Sheikh Al-moustapha Kouyateh has publicly apologized to the House of Representatives after previously accusing lawmakers of corruption and of accepting bribes before approving concession agreements.
However, many supporters of Pan-Africanism have described the Ambassador's apology as an act of cowardice, a betrayal to the fight against corruption and arguing that he has abandoned the principles he once stood for. According to them, by retracting his statements and apologizing to the House, he has chosen to protect his position and salary rather than standing by the truth.

Update on the arrival date of the first batch of Liberian Pilgrims 🇱🇷
The National Hajj Program of Liberia wishes to inform the families, friends, and well-wishers of the 200 Liberian pilgrims sponsored by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that they are scheduled to arrive in Liberia on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Roberts International Airport (RIA).
All family members and friends are kindly requested to make the necessary arrangements to receive and transport their pilgrims from the airport upon arrival.
On behalf of the Government of Liberia, we extend our sincere appreciation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its generous support and look forward to welcoming our pilgrims home safely.
