Iron Strides Team Member Teresa Mullen Hower, owner of Sacred Strides, has been making some incredible leaps and bounds! 🐴💚

Teresa has made the decision to dive deeper into her own journey—not only through riding lessons with Heather & Phares Martin, but also through Biomechanics Lessons designed to help her beautiful Doc become a healthier, stronger, and more balanced partner.

I am so incredibly proud of Teresa and the way her confidence continues to grow and evolve. Watching someone step outside their comfort zone, challenge themselves, and discover what they are capable of is one of the most beautiful parts of what we do. 💚

Sometimes, when we ask ourselves to do something challenging, the hardest part can be feeling like we're doing it alone.

☀️ Adult Summer Camp with Ace Horsemanship! 🐴

We had the amazing opportunity to join Ace Horsemanship’s Adult Summer Camp in Derwood, Maryland, as a clinician!

Spending time with some of our incredible Graceful Strides clients, while also meeting new friends and fellow equestrians, made this such a wonderful experience. 💚

We loved being able to share our knowledge, connect with riders, and talk about the importance of horse and rider wellness, biomechanics, body awareness, and creating a stronger partnership between horse and human.

A huge thank you to Ace Horsemanship for inviting us to be part of such a fantastic event and to everyone who participated, asked questions, shared their experiences, and welcomed us into the group.

We are so grateful for opportunities like this that allow us to educate, connect, and help horses and riders thrive together.

Trust in God’s timing. 🤍

For the last 6 years, I’ve had multiple trainers work with Fiesta on her fear of the trailer and rebuilding her confidence after her accident.

Every single one struggled.

Too often, it felt like the focus was on pushing her to her breaking point just to get a result—no matter the cost.

I never wanted that.

Fiesta never wanted that.

All I ever wanted was for her to want to get back on that trailer. Not because she was forced. Not because she was pushed past her limits. But because she felt safe enough, confident enough, and ready enough to make that choice herself.

Then came this year.

Our beautiful friends and colleagues at HPH Horsemanship—Heather Lehigh and Phares Martin.

They have worked with Fiesta so differently. With patience. With respect. With understanding. Quietly. Consistently. And most importantly, on Fiesta’s timeline.

And then came Labor Day Monday.

One of the greatest experiences of my life.

Fiesta. My Fiesta Marie Forever. ❤️

She didn’t just get on the trailer.

She trailered to Chambersburg Saddle Club, worked for two hours, relaxed in the ring, and then loaded back up and trailered home.

She did it.

Not because she was forced.

Because she was ready.

I cannot begin to express the gratitude and love I have for Heather and Phares. What they have given Fiesta—and what they have given me—is something I will carry with me forever.

We still have a long road ahead of us. But this moment… this was something we have been striving toward for six long years.

And we did it. ❤️

Sometimes we spend so much time wondering when something is going to happen that we forget to trust Who is in control of the timing.

The right trainers.
The right mindset.
The right moment.
The right day.
The right ride.

It was all just… right.

It’s all in God’s timing. 🙏🏻

And this time, the timing was absolutely perfect.

HPH Horsemanship and I have been working extremely hard to help Fiesta Forever find a better head space AND physical space — and she is absolutely ROCKING it! 🐴✨
Watching her confidence grow, her body strengthen, and her mindset change has been incredible. We are so proud of her and SO excited for what the future holds!
