My natural hair products have helped me restore my natural hair after it being severely damaged in 2022 from wearing closure-sewins and not taking care of my hair.
Most people did not know, that I have had Seborrheic dermatitis since high school - a common skin condition that affects the scalp, causing scaly patches, inflammation, and stubborn dandruff, particularly in oily areas like the face, nose, eyebrows, ears, eyelids, and chest most of my friends and loved ones just knew I had irriatated inflamed, dry skin. Fortunately, for me, it's limited to my face and scalp and not other parts of my body.
Knowing it runs on my dad’s side of the family, I've learned to take control of it. After feeling frustrated with traditional dermatologists, I took matters into my own hands and started crafting my own soaps, driven by research and determination. This journey, which began long before my natural hair product business, has been transformative. At 36, I'm thrilled to say my skin has never looked clearer, with minimal breakouts and a healthier scalp, thanks to the natural products I've created for my skin and scalp also incorporating castor oil and having a daily skin routine.
