The Braxton Grooming Lounge

THE NAME BEHIND THE BRAXTON. 💙

The Braxton Grooming Lounge carries a name.

But to us, Braxton was never just a name on the building. He was the reason behind it.

On Monday morning, August 24, Braxton — beloved son of our founder, Rodney McGuire, and the heartbeat behind The Braxton — passed away peacefully, comfortably, and in good spirits. After four years, his fight with cancer is over.

But we ask you not to remember Braxton for the fight.

Remember the life.

Remember the 14-year-old who dreamed big enough to take to the sky — and actually flew his parents in a plane.

Remember the young man who graduated 8th grade despite everything life placed in front of him.

Remember his laugh. His personality. His courage. His kindness. His love for life.

Remember the son who gave his father permission to put his name on a dream called The Braxton Grooming Lounge — never knowing just how much that name would come to mean.

Brax packed more living into 14 years than many of us manage in a lifetime. And he left his fingerprints on every heart fortunate enough to know him.

Today, the name THE BRAXTON carries an even deeper meaning.

Every time these doors open, his name opens with them.

Every person we welcome, every young person we mentor, every life we impact, every new location we build, and every dream we pursue will carry a piece of him forward.

The Braxton was built in his name.
Now it will grow in his legacy.

To every client, friend, neighbor, business owner, and member of this community who has wrapped their arms around the McGuire family — thank you.

Every prayer.
Every message.
Every call.
Every act of kindness.
Every ounce of love.

It carried them. It still does.

Rest peacefully, Brax. 🕊️💙

Forever 14.
Forever loved.
Forever the heart of The Braxton.
