As promised, some tips and tricks to get that build up from product, not rinsing well, out of your hair.
If you use a lot of leave in products, ie…conditioner, detangler, hair sprays, volumizers, ect. You probably notice that your hair feels dirty quickly after shampooing, it tangles really easily, you can’t get any volume out of it. All of these things are typically from build up. A quick way to help get that goo out is a vinegar rinse.
Recipe 👇🏻
1/2 water and 1/2 white vinegar
(You can use apple cider vinegar as well.).
How to do it?
In the shower, shampoo your hair and rinse really well to get the topical dirt off.
Pour vinegar and water in your hair (careful not to get it in your eyes), and let sit for about a minute, then rinse well.
Shampoo again, rinse well and condition. Again, I can’t stress enough, how important rinsing is!!
Do this about 2-3 times a month, all depending on how much product you use. When you do this for a while, you will be able to feel when you need it. Trust me.
Pro tip: if you’re doing a child, lay them on their back on the counter with their head almost in the sink and use the sprayer on your faucet, so to help not get it in their eyes.

This isn’t for you? There is a product called Malibu that has treatments for swimmers, people with hard water, ect… they work great, gentle on your hair, and affordable. This is a great option if your kids swim a lot in the summer months. They also have shampoo and conditioner for swimmers. I do carry both of these products if you’re ever interested, stop by and pick some up. The treatments are $6 each and the shampoo/conditiner is $34 for the pair.
