UPDATE on using Alexi Essence Butter Bliss Body Butter on my hair! You know, product research with yours truly as the guinea pig extraordinaire!! 😛

So the other day I put it in my hair, added heat and some time and washed it out. As my post said, it did make a difference but I can’t say I was “wow’d”...

I didn’t have anywhere to go yesterday so I decided to see what would happen if I left it in. I put it on my hair (no added coconut oil this time) and then rinsed my hair, put some conditioner on and dried it as usual. My hair wasn’t super oily but I could tell it was heavier and looked a little bit oily in spots. This seemed to intensify through the day. I left it on all day and overnight and washed it today.

Result...I now can say the difference is significant. It is same I would expect if I opted for a deep conditioning treatment at a salon. I’m excited as I do believe I can now wholeheartedly encourage you to use this if your hair needs a boost of conditioning and that you will be pleased with the results.

For those of you who have some, please give it a try for your next day staying home making comfort food and/or Netflix binging with buttered popcorn and let me know how it goes for you! 🥰.

For those who haven’t tried the Alexi body butter, message me if you want to give your skin and hair a luxurious treat! 🥰🙌

ATTN Alexi Essence Butter Bliss Body Butter fans!

I found a new use for it besides making your skin super soft! Put it in your hair! 🙌🤓

My hair has been looking like straw lately. I’m starting to think about cutting it all off because of it. I was looking at deep conditioning hair treatments at Target yesterday & I noticed the ingredients were similar to my body butter (coconut oil, mango butter, etc.) except the one at the store had about 25 more ingredients in it I’m not sure how to pronounce. 🤔

So I took a tbsp or so of my beloved body butter and added to that a tbsp or so of coconut oil and smeared it all over my hair. I didn’t wet it first.
I used my blow dryer to add some heat and then wrapped it up in a towel for a half hour or so. It made a difference. Just wanted to share in case your hair needs some TLC too! I happen to have some on hand if you don’t have any. ❤️

I was a busy bee 🐝 today!

Sugar scrub, body butter and solid lotion sticks up for grabs! I made many small sizes that would be very good stocking stuffers, teacher gifts, etc!

All made with mowrah, mango & cocoa butter with grapeseed oil, coconut oil and beeswax. Scented with Aveda “Shampure” scent with a splash of sweet orange scent added in.

Solid lotion is excellent for very dry & calloused skin. It can’t be beat for elbows, feet or any chapped skin. Lots of beeswax in it so it would create an excellent barrier to protect skin from bitter cold windchills coming soon!

Body butter and sugar scrub are amazing for keeping skin soft and supple all winter!! All of these would especially help hands hurting from lots of hand washing and use of hand sanitizer.

Let me know if you are interested! 🙏Prices range from $8 to $35 depending on size!

For those of you who recently purchased the solid lotion here is an example of what it can do overnight! I was using essential oils too but still a great example of its miraculous powers! 😛 If you suffer from dry, cracked skin on hands in winter months this will heal it. ❤️

Just some insight into making body butter and sugar scrub! This is after it was mixing for at least an hour and a couple times putting in fridge and finally, the freezer. You know I’ve had enough of endless mixing when I put it in the freezer!

So this is melted kokum, mango, cocoa and mowrah butters with apricot, grape seed, sweet almond and safflower oils, with some beeswax, snowflake and sun kissed bronze mica and fragrance oils. Melt and mix and mix and mix and mix and eventually you have this beautiful creation! 😁

Making Butter Bliss Sugar Scrub, Body Butter and Solid Lotion today! ❤️

A few people purchased this around Christmas and are asking for more and I've received other requests for it besides that! So, I'm making a large batch tomorrow. Since I'm doing that I thought I'd let everyone know in case anyone else would like some. I also have this in a spray which would be less potent but would be good for all over application versus spot application for pain in a specific area. See the comments for more info. Let me know. Thanks.

Sharing a post from Nature's Gift Aromatherapy which is where I get most of my essential oils. What a great story of essential oils playing a part in an amazing recovery! :)

Our Christmas Gift

Sometimes my email brings us true gifts, that make me cry with gratitude for the gift of being able to do what we do here.

Back in mid September a stranger named Cori emailed the following query:

>My daughter had spine surgery and has some nerve damage. I would like to try helichrysum oil on her back. Can you recommend an appropriate size and carrier oil? As well as dilution? "

Now of course, I am not legally able to even suggest that any of our products can help with healing. But how can I ignore a mother's plea.

So, with all of the obligatory caveats, I suggested:

"Either the Corsican or the Balkan helichrysum italicuum would be my choice... and I would try two different carriers... first, St. John's Wort oil.. if that doesn't help, I would think about using a blend of calophyllum inophyllum (tamanu) and jojoba... both the SJU and the calophyllum can have pain relieving effects on their own...

and I would use the helichrysum at somewhere btwn a 2.5% and a 5% dilution... more shouldn't be necessary. you also might want to add a touch of black pepper or ginger, the 'warmth' can stimulate circulation which aids healing... and lavender or sweet marjoram ...anti spasmodic/relaxing for pain relief.

You could just try our Miracle blend at first... our blend specifically for nerve & joint pain... I hope some of this helps her!!!!!!!!!!!"

She wrote back

"Thank you Marge. She actually has a spinal cord injury from the surgery. I have read a bunch of articles about helichrysum helping stimulate nerves and nerve regeneration. She has no pain. Does the miracle blend give that "menthol" feeling? She's 8 and I don't know if she'd tolerate that. BTW Thank you so much for all of the info."

"no... we don't use mint in it... you can read the ingredients...
poor darling....this hurts just reading about it Cori!"

"Thank you! I'm going to order some in the morning. Can't wait to try it. Leaving no stone unturned :)"

And I went on about our business, never thought about the correspondence again, because I get tons of email every day.

This week I heard back from Cori.

"Hi Marge-

I just wanted to let you know that I used your Miracle Oil on my daughters back and put her in the pool two days later for some water therapy. She started moving her legs

For the first time in 3 months! She is now walking unassisted.

I certainly believe that with the combination of the therapy, recovery time and oils that her spinal cord injury has "repaired" itself. Thank you for recommending it. "

What a gift, reading that to start my Monday morning. I wrote to thank her for letting us know the results... her reply..

"You can share my story! My mother was here with me when I started using the oil. The first 2 days we used it quite often around her surgical/injury site. My mom and I talk about it all the time, how we wonder how much of it was the oil or just a culmination of all of our/her efforts. I guess we will never know but I'm so glad I found you and you recommended it to me! Needless to say we need more :) She says it helps when her back is hurting..and I think the scent helps her sleep!

Thank you! And HAPPY HOLIDAYS!"

and the final postscript, that let me know that I needed to share this:

I forgot to tell you also..when we saw the Dr. in September we had an orthopedic surgeon and a neurosurgeon tell us she would never walk again. So...I do believe the oils had some part in her progress!

Thank you again! I love what you do! It is absolutely fascinating.

Cori"

Years ago, at a conference or retreat, the leader stopped in mid presentation, looked around the room and said, all inclusively, "Isn't it grand to be US."

I was reminded again this week what a true gift it is to be us, and to do what we do. All of us... in the aromatic healing community. What gifts we have been given to share.

Happy holidays everyone... I hope you have some gifts of healing shared with you to give you the gratitude we are feeling.
