Our dental mission team—formed through St. Simon’s Episcopal Church—arrived ready to assist two oral surgeons. When one couldn’t make it, the remaining surgeon guided me through extractions, drawing on my prior oral surgery experience.

No running water. No electricity. Lawn chairs for dental chairs. Flashlights to see.
We pulled nearly 500 teeth in one week.

Hygienists are trained, adaptable, and essential—especially when care can’t wait.

Let’s be real—if patients don’t come in to see us (the dental hygienists), a lot of dentistry would go undiagnosed.

We see patients twice a year on average—often more than they see their dentist. That puts us on the front lines of early detection, education, and prevention.

Our license isn’t just a title—it represents clinical expertise that drives patient recall and keeps the practice thriving.

We’re not a luxury. We’re essential.
