The design team took a field trip to Sanctuary Native Nursery to continue to learn about the best native plants for residential landscapes. The nursery is open to the public.

We had the best time bringing this backyard paradise to life! Our favorite feature? The beautiful stone table, chairs and chalkboard for the kids. Projects like this are why we love what we do: creating outdoor spaces where families can connect, play, and enjoy the beauty of their own backyard.

We love this cozy garden that we recently refreshed in the 07.

Eastern Columbine “Little Lanterns” (Aquilegia canadensis) found their home along this patio edge.
They self-seeded in an area with thin soil over a limestone base from the patio construction. And the hummingbirds (and certain hens) love them just as much as we do!

Early spring starts with fresh mulch, clean lines, and plants just waking up. Fast forward to summer, and it’s full, colorful, and alive with texture and blooms.

Fresh mulch really makes that variegated foliage pop in this beautiful garden.

The mix of fine and bold textures work together to create depth and contrast.
Plants included:
Wild stonecrop, Sedum ternatum;
Lady fern, Athyrium filix-femina;
Japanese maple, Acer palmatum var. dissectum
