I personally believe one of the major reasons VeryDarkMan is not rotting in prison despite the number of powerful toes he has stepped on is because the present government and the powers that be still find him useful.
In a country where people get arrested for far less, where ordinary citizens disappear into the system for minor offenses, you have to ask yourself why someone who constantly attacks influential individuals, exposes powerful people, and stirs national conversations is still moving freely most of the time. Think about it deeply.
Sometimes, the system does not always fight the loudest voice. Sometimes, the system allows certain loud voices to exist because they serve as distractions. While people are busy arguing on social media, dragging each other, defending celebrities, and fighting online battles, they are not asking serious questions about governance, insecurity, economy, unemployment, and the real issues affecting their daily lives.
Distraction is one of the oldest political tools in the world. Keep the people entertained, angry at each other, emotionally divided, and constantly reacting to social media drama, and they will have little time to hold leaders accountable.
What he did to Seyi Tinubu during the King Mitchy issue alone, in a country like Nigeria, is something that could have buried a person politically and legally if the system truly wanted to move against him. But nothing really happened. That should tell observant people something.
He may think he has influence and followership, but influence is relative. Nigeria has seen stronger movements and stronger followership before. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu had and still has a level of loyal followership that shook the entire Nigerian government. Where is he today? Power always wins when it truly decides to win.
The truth is, in Nigeria, nobody is untouchable. Absolutely nobody. If the system really wants you gone, you will be gone. It is only a matter of time and usefulness.
People should be careful when the crowd is clapping too loudly for them. Sometimes the same crowd clapping for you today will watch silently when you are being destroyed tomorrow.
Let people keep clapping for people to doom if they want. Some of us will just sit down, observe, and understand how power really works in this country.

Do You Know Dezny?
Let me say this boldly.
Nigeria currently has many skit makers
But there is one guy I have been watching closely who always brings something different, wild and creatively chaotic in a good way.
His name is Dezny.
Real name Destiny Ogie Osarewinda, and you can find him on Instagram as .
This guy is one of the most firebrand skit makers I have seen in Nigeria in recent times.
His acting is loud but controlled.
His expressions are crazy but intentional.
And his storytelling is always unpredictable.
You know those comedians where you can already guess the joke before it lands?
Dezny is not that guy.
Sometimes you watch his skits and just say:
"Who even thinks of things like this?" π
That level of raw creativity is rare in today's Nigerian comedy space.
What I also respect about him is that he clearly puts effort into his characters and delivery, not just pressing record and shouting.
Nigeria has produced many comedy stars from social media and if consistency meets opportunity, I honestly believe Dezny can become one of the greatest names in the industry.
So if you enjoy good Nigerian comedy content, do yourself a favour and check him out.

Go watch a few of his skits and come back here to tell me:
Am I exaggerating or is this guy actually one of the most creative skit makers out there?
Nigeria is full of talent, sometimes we just need to recognize it early. π₯
