I remember when coconut oil was the thing—every aisle, every post, everyone swore by it for everything.
I bought it too. Because when your child is dealing with eczema, you’ll try anything that sounds gentle.
I felt good putting it on my child's skin.
But a few hours later, the tears would come and the itch would creep back. Sometimes worse. And I couldn’t understand why something “natural” wasn’t helping.
What I didn’t know then is it can sit on top of already broken skin and trap heat and irritation underneath.
