I got to see Deborah Szekely speak at iSPA several years back and she was absolutely brilliant.
I call her the “Godmother” of the wellness industry, I hope to one of these days make my way to the ranch. It’s no wonder she has lived 102 years young! The lifestyle has paid off and to still work at Rancho La Puerta part time shows how this lifelong passion has been all worthwhile! 🎉 Bravo 🙌🏼 👏🏼

Our Story
How I Got Here
For as long as I can remember, my mom has NEVER left home without her red lipstick. One of my earliest and fondest memories is joining my mom and her best friend Becky on their frequent Marie Calendar "Pie dates". After every meal, my mom would re-apply her red lipstick and of course, I wanted some too! What five year old girl doesn't want some of her mom's lipstick?.. right?!? So my mom would dab a little bit of her red lipstick on my cheeks and blend it out, for a rosy glow. Then she'd tap some more lipstick on my lower lip and have me blot my lips. That is my first memory of makeup.
My Background
In my years as a Makeup Artist, I've worked in both retail and resort environments. I worked for Nordstrom as an Assistant Department Manager of Cosmetics and Fragrance prior to becoming a Spa Manager on San Juan Island.
