Have soap, will travel: we’ll see you at this weekend’s Murfreesboro Saturday Market! 🎉 There’s still three weekends left in the Boro, and we’re excited to see you there with our new fall and winter soaps tomorrow and in the Saturdays to come.

Another day’s soapmaking is complete! ✨ Today brought several new restocking batches, including the latest of our Sunny Day soaps with lemon and exfoliating pumice.

It also brought the fun of making peaks and valleys in wet soap with the side of a spoon. For all the advanced techniques we enjoy experimenting with, sometimes the simplest joys of soapmaking are the best.

Curious to try our new fall soaps? They’re now available in Gallatin’s The Artisan Hatchery and Goodlettsville’s Rare Bird Antique Mall! 🎉🍂🍁

Both booths now feature our full collection of autumn bars, from earthy Frankincense to crisp Peppermint. We hope you’ll love them, and you can also find our collection online in just a few days on scentofthesun.com as well.

Alas, while we had our plans for tomorrow’s Murfreesboro Saturday Market, it would appear that Hurricane Isaias has its own.

Due to the impending storm, we’ll be unable to be at tomorrow’s market, or, sadly, to debut our fall soaps to you there yet.

But fear not: we’ll be back next week as usual, and this time with all our autumn creations in tow. In the meantime, stay safe! ☔️

Our newest feature as Market Pet of the Week comes equipped with silver wings and the most adorable smile (look at those little teeth!) 😍 Sweet “Pitbull” was a hit at the Gallatin Main Street Festival, and we are so glad we got to meet and pet her!

We’re live from Gallatin’s Main Street Fest! 🎉 We hope to see you today as we share our new fall creations—from classic comfort scents to crisp, herbal aromas. And even better: the rain seems to have held off!

Visit us today until 4 p.m. near the entrance to the Gallatin Public Library to try our new creations or simply to stock up on old favorite soaps, lotions, bath bombs, and more.

Our new fall soaps are on their way… 🍁 Visit us tomorrow at Gallatin’s Main Street Festival to sample 10 earthy, minty, and herbal soaps from our autumn collection, including both returning favorites (such as the one below) and brand-new bars. We’ll see you alongside other fellow vendors from the Gallatin Farmers Market this Saturday!

New limited-run soaps are on their way! 🫧 Beyond creating our fall collection for this Saturday’s Gallatin Main Street Fest, we’ve also been busy making a few other new bars in -very- small batches, including the soap you see now.

How limited are these? Well, they’re such small quantities that we’re actually having to make them online only! This soap arrives soon on scentofthesun.com, and you can already find another unique variety live there now.

We hope these one-off soaps will be a fun way to try some new aromas and ingredients beyond our core collection—but when they’re gone, they’re gone. Stay tuned! 😎
