“Why does God allow us to spend so much of life in the heat of battle? Because he never meant for us to sip His spirit like a proper cup of tea. He meant for us to hold our sweating hands over the fountain and lap up His life with unquenchable thirst “ Beth Moore

I was reading through an old journal and read this, and it really hit me in a personal way. The battle has been intense and sadly I’ve been sipping and not lapping up His love. I let life get in the way.

It states in Psalms 18 :6 “In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From his temple, he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears.”

I know he hears me.
I know he is attentive to my cry, but do I trust that he will respond?
Do I trust that he will act?
Do I trust that he will protect those close to me?

That’s what I wrestle with. One time recently a minister said that ‘God calls me, Israel, because I wrestle with him.’

She was right! I do wrestle with God. Imagine that! I wrestle with the creator of the heavens and earth.

Israel was and is God’s beloved.
Through rebellion he loved her.
Through apathy he loved her. Through complaining and murmuring he loved her.
Through times of returning He loved her.
Through times of victory He loved her. Never did He stopped loving her. Never!

Am I any different? Are you?

Will He respond to my cry ant different?

Hold me by ABBA! Hold all my family, and please keep watch over each of them.

I trust you God! No more sipping for me. Yes, I may wrestle with him from time to time but I trust that my Abba will see me through and never let go!

If you’ve grown weary in prayer, we want to step into your corner and hold up your arms. God is as good as He is sovereign. He is the Author & Perfecter of our faith. “For the joy set before Him, He endured the Cross.” You were the joy set before Him!

Everything was paid for by the Blood. You partner with the finished work of the Cross by decreeing & declaring the promises of God over your life. Psalm 67 starts off as a prayer asking, “God be merciful to us & bless us…” then in verse 6, it declares, “…our God shall bless us...” This prayer started as an ask and ended in a decree. We are decreeing and declaring God’s promises over you today!

What are you decreeing today?

I Always Believed I Was the Bad One: My Story of Healing and Hope After Sexual Abuse I Always Believed I Was the Bad One: My Story of Healing and Hope After Sexual Abuse

This is one the truths that honestly helped me in my recovery. When a child experiences abuse of any form especially sexual abuse they can be overwhelmed by the shame of it as well many are threatened by the abuser. When it occurs over and over their truth comes to a place of believing that somehow they are the bad ones and it is their fault. Because of this false narrative they are desperately afraid to expose the truth because it will destroy the family. So they keep it all inside...this was my story.

We do not have to stay in that place... we can become free and whole once again. My pray is that everyone who reads my book will encounter God's love in profound and life changing ways.

I wrote this scripture prayer a few years ago. It certainly ministered to my heart in light of our current situation. I find that I have been my prayers with "I trust you Jesus!" It really is quite powerful when you stop and think about it. Am I trusting Jesus in my situation? Lean into Him today pray this prayer!

I Trust You Jesus
Prayer

In all things my heart will cry out, ‘I trust you, Jesus!’ I thank you Lord that I face nothing alone. For that reason I am fixing my eyes upon You, the Living One who sees me always! I thank you Lord for you have told me these things, so that in You I may have perfect peace. In the world I have tribulation and distress and suffering, but I will be courageous, confident, undaunted, and filled with joy; for You have overcome the world.” Your conquest is accomplished, Your victory is abiding over me. (1)

I trust you, Jesus!

Lord, where could I go from your Spirit? Where could I run and hide from your face? If I go to the heaven, you’re there! If I go down to the realm of the dead, you’re there too! If I fly with wings into the shining dawn, you’re there! If I fly into the radiant sunset, you’re there waiting! Wherever I go your hand will guide me; Your strength will empower me. I am not alone! (2) When I as a holy lover cry out to You with all my heart, you Lord will hear me and come to rescue me from all my troubles. (3) For whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You. In you God I will praise Your word, in you God I put my trust; and for that reason I will not fear. For what can flesh do to me? (4)

I trust you, Jesus!

I trust in and rely confidently on you Lord with all my heart and do not rely on my own insight or understanding. In all my ways I know and acknowledge and recognize You, for you will make my paths straight and smooth removing obstacles that block my way. (5) When I cried out, “You are God Who Sees”; and I said, “Have I not even here in the wilderness remained alive after seeing You for you see me with understanding and compassion?” Therefore the well, the place of my supply, is called Beer-lahai-roi, ‘Well of the Living One Who Sees Me.’ (6) Behold, God, you are my salvation! I will trust and not be afraid, for the Lord my God is my strength and song; Yes, He is my salvation. Therefore with joy I will draw water from the springs of salvation. (7)

When I am weary and everything seems to be falling apart,
I will continue to say these words: “I trust you, Jesus!”

1. John 16:33 AMP
2. Psalm 139:7-10 TPT
3. Psalm 34:17 TPT
4. Psalm 56:3-4 NKJV
5. Proverbs 3:5-6 AMP
6. Genesis 16:13-14 AMP
7. Isaiah 12:2-3 AMP

Prophetic word:

“You have been like a bonsai plant in a narrow container, but I Am beginning to break that container and cause your roots to spread out! This will be the time of root-spreading and roots going deeper. Though the enemy tried to keep you in a narrow place, I Am now laughing over what the enemy did. Know that My laugh will enter the earth realm. Watch its effect on many who refused to enter into my joy! Watch now, for your last container is being broken!”

God asked me a strange question, “Bobby, what are some of the most precious things in heaven?”

Attempting to be correct in my answer, I said, “Oh Lord, I don’t know!”

He replied, “Look!”

I was shown a small bottle, that expanded to a huge, massive container! I questioned, asking what was in this small bottle that became so big? With a joyful sound in His tone, He said, “The tears of the Saints!”

Then the Spirit of God said: “This will be a season of tears and more tears. Tears of sadness and sorrow, and tears of overwhelming joy and elation.”

I was given this passage:
“You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.”
Psalm 56:8 (NLT)
