Taking care of my favorite pitcher’s arm

One of my patients came in a few weeks ago with a lipoma that was a little larger than the size of a 50 cent piece. It was really inflamed and raised about an inch above the surface of the skin. It had been growing for about a year next to a smaller lipoma that had been there for 10 years. The lipoma has flattened and is now smaller than a dime! Although acupuncture, herbs, a few cabbage leaves and a topical paste made of natural ingredients may help, nothing can beat a determined patient who complies with your recommendations, and does his part in making good dietary decisions. I am thankful for patients like this one, and I am humbled.
