Xtend Yourself Hair Salon

Hi there! I hope you have been keeping cool as the summer seems to be coming in early and hot. I just wanted to touch base with you to keep you up to speed with what’s going on for the salon. It’s built! And painted! I have a little bit left to do as far as getting things unpacked and put away but fingers crossed we will have a working salon again within the month! So here’s how it’s going to go down- I’m gone for the month of April and we will be moving up to Williams for the summer, as usual. I have some dates available strictly for previous clients for the summer. I won’t be advertising my opening to new clients until we move back in the fall.

Once again I want to thank you so much for hanging in there with me and trusting me. I look forward to once again being able to serve you and spend time with you. I’ll send photos of the new space as soon as I feel it’s ready! I’m so excited!!!!!

This is why your blonde hair is turning yellow: . . 1) You have hard water - this will not only affect your color but also the health of your hair. Hard water dries out the hair and leaves mineral deposits that can cause scalp itchiness. . . 2) Your washing your hair in really hot water- this will cause your toner to fade and expose your underlining pigment. Wanna preserve your cool toner? Turn the temp of your shower down! . . 3) You’re not using salon quality shampoo/styling products- using drug store products on hair that you just spent $300+ on makes no sense to me. Your products are like your insurance to PROTECT your color and the integrity of your hair. Most grocery store products have high levels of salt, water, perfume and alcohol. No bueno. . . 4) Your hot tools are set too high- heat disrupts color. The more heat- the more fading- the more yellow you will see. You don’t need high levels of heat to get the job done.
