Do you feel like you always have to cut off too much length to remove all your dead ends when getting a haircut? Are you tired of dealing with dull, damaged hair? As a hairstylist, I know the importance of maintaining healthy, long locks. Not only do they look stunning, but they also make for a great accessory. With that in mind, I've put together 5 ways to keep your hair looking and feeling its best (and a bonus at the end).

1️⃣ First, make sure you're getting regular trims. I know it may seem counterintuitive to cut your hair when you're trying to grow it out, but trimming the ends every 6-8 weeks will help prevent split ends and breakage.

2️⃣ Next, invest in a good quality shampoo and conditioner. Look for products that are free of sulfates and parabens, as these harsh chemicals can strip your hair of its natural oils and cause damage.

3️⃣ Don't forget to nourish your hair from the inside out by eating a healthy diet that's rich in vitamins and minerals. Foods like salmon, avocados, and sweet potatoes can help promote healthy hair growth.

4️⃣ Avoid using heat styling tools too often, and always use a heat protectant spray before styling. Excessive heat can cause damage and breakage, so it's important to be gentle with your hair.

5️⃣ Finally, be gentle when brushing and styling your hair. Use an un-brush to detangle wet hair, and avoid pulling or tugging too hard.

6️⃣ Bonus tip: show your stylist this video and ask them if they can remove split ends with this technique instead of taking too much length off. Let me just tell you, I've saved lots of hairs by using this magical technique to maintain that length clients are wanting.

By following these simple tips, you can help ensure that your hair stays long, strong, and healthy. Don't forget to schedule regular appointments with your stylist to keep your locks looking their best!
