One of my buddies that I’ve been friends with since 6th grade hit me up and asked if I could cut his hair and do his son’s very first haircut. That meant a lot to me. Out of everyone he could’ve gone to, he trusted me with that moment, and I’m really thankful for it.
I’m still new in this industry and I know I’ve got a lot to learn, but something I’ve realized recently is that some of my friends are starting to bring their kids to me for haircuts. That’s a pretty cool feeling.
Haircuts aren’t just haircuts. Over time I’m going to get to watch these kids grow up. Every time they come back for a cut, they’ll be a little older, a little bigger, and a little different than the last time.
It honestly kind of blew my mind today that it was already time for his first haircut. Time goes by fast, and moments like that remind me to slow down and appreciate it.
I’m grateful to be your barber and grateful for everyone who trusts me with these moments. ✂️
