When we travel to watch our daughter play volleyball, it’s about so much more than the time off work, the early mornings, the late nights, the hotel rooms, and all the money spent.
It’s about watching her step onto that court and use her talent with confidence and joy. It’s about being present, really present, cheering her on, seeing her determination, her growth, her passion, and that smile she gets when she’s doing what she loves.
These weekends aren’t just tournaments. They’re memories being made in real time. They’re conversations in the car, team dinners, proud parent moments in the stands, and the kind of happiness you can’t put a price tag on.
I wouldn’t trade this for the world.
