Creatine, strength, and the scale are often mixed together. Here is the straight answer: creatine does not build large muscles by itself, and an early scale increase may reflect water stored with muscle. Read Campaign 004 on the FireHaus Blog. Link in bio.

“Will creatine make me bulky?” is a fair question—and one reason many women hesitate to try it.

Creatine can support hard training. It will not build large muscles by itself. The scale may also rise as your body stores more water with muscle, especially early on. That number alone does not tell you that you gained body fat.

We broke down what the research says in this week’s FireHaus Blog. Read the full article here: https://firehaussupplements.com/blogs/supplementation/creatine-for-women-will-it-make-you-bulky-or-gain-weight

On September 11, 2001, 343 FDNY firefighters made the ultimate sacrifice.

When others needed help, they answered the call. They entered danger, climbed toward the unknown, and continued doing the job they had sworn to do—protecting lives, serving their community, and standing beside one another until the very end.

Today, we remember their courage, their selflessness, and the families and firehouses forever changed by their loss. May their sacrifice never fade from our memory.

Never forget.

Coffee does not automatically cancel out hydration—but the demands of the shift still matter. We broke down the research and highlighted SaltyMedic Outfitters’ 12-Lead Coffee, created by a firefighter from Western Colorado. Read the full article through the link in our bio.

Does coffee actually dehydrate you? ☕💧

The simple answer: not automatically.

Moderate coffee intake can contribute to your daily fluid intake, even though caffeine may have a mild diuretic effect. But context still matters. Heat, heavy sweating, hard training, extended calls, and limited opportunities to drink can all increase fluid and electrolyte needs.

Coffee, water, electrolytes, and creatine are different tools with different jobs.

This week we are also highlighting another first-responder-owned company: . Its best-selling 12-Lead Coffee was created by a firefighter from Western Colorado for early mornings, late nights, and the hours in between.

Coffee for the start of the shift. Creatine and electrolytes for staying consistent through it.

Do you need to take creatine every day?

Consistency matters more than perfect timing—including on rest days.

Training day or recovery day, the goal is the same: build a routine you can repeat. Before or after training can both work, and one missed serving does not erase your progress.

Do you need to take creatine every day?

Short answer: consistency matters more than perfect timing—including on rest days.

Creatine does not work like caffeine or a traditional pre-workout. The goal is to gradually build and maintain the creatine stored in your muscles, which is why the routine matters more than a narrow before-or-after window.

A few practical takeaways:

• Training day or rest day: keep the routine consistent.
• Before or after training: both can work.
• Miss a serving: resume your normal serving instead of overcorrecting.
• The best time is usually the time you will remember.
