A couple of weeks ago we had the pleasure of performing ICL on a very special patient. Meet John! John is originally from Rwanda and moved to the states a couple of years ago as a refugee. John has been extremely nearsighted for many years, but he never had glasses until he was 30. Before surgery John, couldn't even see the highest line on the eye chart. And at his last post-operative visit, 1 week following his surgery, he could read the 20/20 line! We are so excited for John!
Keep an eye out for more posts about John's journey, both here and on our TikTok account!

Last week was a bit sad here at KLVC. Friday was the last day for our wonderful technician, Gabby. She's off to medical school... in MissouriðŸ˜
As much as we're going to miss her, we're very excited for her as she embarks on this next chapter of her life! And we know that she has the drive and the brains to succeed. We can't wait to see what you do next Gabby! Please visit us! And if you decide on ophthalmology as your specialty, we know somewhere you can apply 😉
Have you been wanting to get LASIK done, but are worried that it will be painful? Don't worry! It's not. In fact, here are some things KLVC staff said when asked what hurts more than LASIK: a hangnail, biting your tongue, tattoos, the dentist, and breaking your pinky toe.
Did you know that we offer several different vision correction procedures other than LASIK? We offer solutions for anyone 18 and older! Our services can treat nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia (the need for readers). Shoot us a text to learn more about your options!
How long does your vision need to be stable before a procedure? Why is having stable vision so important? Dr. Keil explains.
Dry eyes & LASIK: How do the two interact? Dr. Keil explains.
FAQ: Why do you ask me to bring my glasses to the consultation appointment?
If you typically wear contact lenses, you may be wondering why we would want you to bring your glasses to your first visit with us. Dr. Keil explains some of the many reasons we want to see your glasses before a procedure at our office.
We're so excited to announce that we are now selling sunglasses! There's no better time to get a pair of quality sunglasses than after ditching your glasses and contact lenses. Come see us to pick out a pair! 😎
