Extensions shouldn't come with a long list of things you can no longer do with your hair. You should be able to wear a ponytail without checking the back of your head. Your color should still look cohesive when your hair moves. The placement should make sense for your density, not simply follow the same pattern used on every client.
And before you commit, you should know what they'll cost, how often you'll be back and what caring for them at home actually looks like.
These things may not be the most exciting part of getting extensions, but they're usually what determines whether you'll still love your hair weeks after the appointment.
