We brought the sauna to a group from Ukraine today, and they asked if we provided veniks for banya.

If you’re not familiar, banya is a traditional steam bath that’s popular in Ukraine. One of its traditions involves using a a bundle of leafy birch branches (they call it a venik) to move the hot air around and gently brush or tap the skin. Looks wild, feels incredible!

It was pretty special to see our little wood-fired sauna become part of a tradition they brought with them all the way to Wisconsin.

We hope this weekend brings them a little taste of home.🇺🇦

We took the sauna camping!

Aaron and I brought the sauna to Bagley Rapids in Mountain, WI over the weekend. We had LOTS of curious campers wondering what the heck we were up to — but wow, nothing better than sauna-ing with the fall colors and cold plunging in the rapids.

This isn’t a packed wellness retreat where you’re rushing from one thing to the next.

It’s four slow hours to step out of regular life, spend time outside, warm up, cool down, and be with other women in a really beautiful place.

Forest Bay Sauna spent another weekend on the bay 🌊🔥

This time, we got to be part of someone’s 40th birthday weekend with friends and family. A little sauna, a beautiful view, and time to slow down and just be together.

Can’t think of a better way to celebrate 40. ❤️

Yesterday we gathered for Fire + Water, our fall equinox celebration, and it was everything. 🔥💧

A sold-out day of wood-fired sauna, a table full of good food, deep rest, and a crystal harp sound bath to close it all out. Women arrived as strangers and left as friends. That’s the magic of getting in the sauna together!
