Every backpack, notebook, pack of pencils, box of crayons or glue stick donated is one less thing a family has to worry about as the school year begins.
No donation is too small — it all adds up when a community comes together. 🫶

If you know me, you know this is definitely not my usual look. 😅
As a hairstylist, I normally want people to see my hair—not cover it up.
But this isn't about fashion.
It's about my mom.
If wearing a hat starts one conversation... if that conversation leads one person to learn her story... and if that story reaches the one person who could save her life with a kidney donation...
Then I'll happily wear this hat every single day.
Some things are bigger than great hair. 💚

We're inviting local small businesses to join us—not by hosting a collection site, but by helping us spread the word, volunteering during the event, or simply showing up to support our community.
We're also looking for bakeries, meat markets, grocery stores, restaurants, and other food suppliers that may feel led to donate food or ingredients. We have to-go containers available and would love to prepare meals for families impacted by the tornado.
Yesterday proved what happens when a community comes together. Let's do it again and show our neighbors they're not facing this alone.

📍 Look for the Big Guy's Handyman Services trailer in the parking lot of Expert Real Estate Partners(1314 W. College Ave., Appleton). That's where we'll be collecting donations today, Wednesday, July 29, from 2:00–7:00 PM.
Whether it's a case of bottled water, toiletries, non-perishable food, cleaning supplies, baby items, pet food, or a new blanket, every single donation matters. Even one item can help a family begin to rebuild.

Today isn't about hair—it's about our community. 💙
Like so many others, my heart has been heavy seeing the impact today's tornado has had on Appleton, Menasha, and our surrounding Fox Cities communities.
Golden Hair is partnering with Big Guy's Handyman Services over the next few days to collect essential items for those who have been affected.
If you'd like to help, we're collecting: 💧 Bottled water 🧴 Bathroom toiletries and personal hygiene items 🥫 Non-perishable food
If you'd like to donate, please send me a message and we'll arrange a convenient drop-off or pick-up.
This community has always shown up for one another in difficult times. Let's do it again. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, can make a difference. ❤️
