—While today is a big win towards equality & justice in America, we must remember that there is still an ongoing fight for the equality of Black Americans & it is arguably more important now than it ever has been in the past 30yrs. Understand that countless, never nameless, unarmed & late Black men and women have not received justice. Not even close. Their murderers walk free, their families grieve, and no political or criminal action has been taken to aid their suffering in any way.
We have a democratic President in office, now is the time to continue to use our voice to push for equality, safety, and better quality of life for Minorities, POC, & especially the Black Community. Let’s fight for policies that prevent racism in our police, education, healthcare, judicial system, and prisons. Let’s encourage & lift up the voices of our fellow Black Americans.
As a white women, I don’t want to speak over those who speak from their own pain and personal experience, but I’m in a privileged position to remind everyone that this fight is ongoing. Continue to speak up, highlight inequality, & push for justice. There is still no justice, so there is still no peace.

{LIST OF FIVE THINGS TO HELP YOU GROW DURING QUARANTINE.}
~Over the past few weeks it’s been difficult to stay positive, but it’s essential to our growth that we find a purpose through the pain. Here’s what I’m personally working on.~

1.) It’s been hard, but letting go of people I should’ve never held onto has given me a greater sense of self. Don’t let your worth be determined by anyone other than yourself. Letting people constantly treat me like I was never enough made me believe that I wasn’t. Isolation has shown me I’m better off alone than to be around that person.
2.) Develop healthier habits. Create & customize your workout routine, & incorporate weights & equipment into it when the gyms reopen. Drink more water. Eat less sugar. It’s specific to you, so make it your own.
3.) Try to limit negative self talk. I still have a hard time with this, but if someone said all the nasty things I say to myself it would be hands on site. So hands on site yourself. (It’s much easier to do after you cut toxic people off too, bc there’s nobody there to make you feel anything less than beautiful.)
4.) Pick up hobbies or passion projects you abandoned due to your busy schedule. Fall in love with them again & find a way to make time for them after quarantine too.
5.) Clean! There’s all the free time in the world for it and a cleaner home, car, bathroom, closet, etc. will definitely help everyone out. Donate what you no longer have a need for. Maximize your space by reorganizing it. There’s always progress to be had in this department.
