Skin Colour Events

Recently, I've talked about stepping back from bigger events like festivals/markets in the future and focusing on only booking private parties so that I'm able to be a SAHM (stay at home mom) while also homeschooling my babies soon.

It will be a HUGE financial cut for me- stepping down from being the primary bread winner in our family- but after building this business for the past 10 years, it's the only way I can keep it going while also raising my children.

That being said, I've also noticed an increase in more Mom's looking for ways to follow the same path. "How can I make some side money while also being home more with my children?"

I've had this idea for a while (and attempted before, but being high risk pregnancies made it impossible to pursue):

But I would like to help other moms by hiring more face painters, henna artists, characters, or possibly adding even more entertainment services to Skin Colour Events. After summer is over, business tends to slow down, but I'm still having to turn away inquiries because most parties seem to take place on the same Saturday each month. And I can't be in more than one place at a time.

So I do need the help now and then, but even more in the summer, of course.

So be on the lookout for more information soon! I'm currently wrangling 3 under 3 right now so my days (and nights) are very hectic... I need some time to put together all the paperwork yet again and work out the details.

But I think making this a team effort could be a win-win for all of us SAHM's out there! ❤️

I'm sorry to say that after all the work put into prepping for tomorrow's Popcorn Fest, it's just not going to be possible for me to make it.
Being a mom to 2 toddlers all day, and then up with my now almost 3 month old all night, there's no way I can face paint with my non-stop lines from 8am-6:30pm running on maybe 2-3 hours of sleep (and still stop to pump every 3 hours throughout the day).

I thought I could do it, but it's proven to be too much, too soon.

So for those that we're looking forward to seeing me tomorrow morning, hopefully there will be another time to catch me back in my trailer.
But for right now, life has other plans for me and being the best momma I can is top priority on my list. 🩵

Yesterday was my first time back to work since last October of 2025!

Besides the perfect weather, it was so nice to have a chill party with a great group of parents! I had so much fun creating these works of art to fit the Octopus theme!
