I think people need to do a little more research.

This should be "Evil Dead Burn" director wants to make "The Mask" movie based on the original comics.

The original comics were brutal (and great fun). I enjoyed the Jim Carrey movie enough, but it was NOT the comics! In fact, if memory serves correctly, Stanley really didn't feature that much in the original comics because.... reasons.

While I would straight up watch a comic version of the film, I wonder what kind of market it would have given the amount of people who think the Jim Carrey film was where the story started. Given how old that film is now, it's fair to say most of the audience who watched it are easily of an age where they could see and R-Rated / 18 certificate version of the story but would they bother?!

Or did "Son of Mask" kill the franchise for good?

Anyway... they don't want to adapt anything. They want to create a film based on the original comics.

Nobody involved with the project has really ever confirmed that verse was the reason, as the most widely accepted seems to be that “NASIR”was completed under a very rushed deadline during Kanye West’s Wyoming sessions, leaving André’s contribution unfinished or unapproved before release.

RZA stopped by Drink Champs and revealed to NORE and DJ EFN that every recording studio he builds is located at the top of 100 stairs, and that’s one of the reasons he and Busta Rhymes don’t work together as much anymore:

According to RZA, he builds his studios that way because he is inspired by Kung-Fu temples but mainly to keep artists from leaving the sessions early given how much they would have to walk without having even finished the job.
