Dunavent Family Farm

It has been a very eventful week on the farm. Our doe Phoebe needed a C-section on Friday with delivering these sweet doeling twins. Then, we found two Silkie chicks had hatched, too. Such surprises are so nice!

Our newest edition to our little goat herd is Star. I love her waddles and sweet personality. She is a pygmy mix and is currently being bred with a pygmy buck. Pygmies are meat goats, so maybe I'll sell the kids that should be born in early May.

This is what a block of soap looks like after it is turned out of the loaf mold. It produces ten 4 oz bars when sliced. Please see the order form on this page if you are interested in pre-ordering a loaf or two or three. Prices vary depending on amount of ingredients used. Odie is so ready to go on a date with my pretty blue-eyed, moon-spotted Phoebe. I hope his long ears are inherited by the kids that should be born mid March 2023.

We are getting ready to breed our little doeling Phoebe to our new buck Odie. If is is successfully bred we will have a kid or two born in March.
